Jørgen Behrens is the Vice President and General Manager of Google Maps Automotive, where he leads the strategic vision and global expansion of Google’s geospatial products within the automotive industry. With a focus on the intersection of AI, location technology, and the future of mobility, Jørgen is responsible for bringing the best of Google’s ecosystem into the vehicle to create seamless, safe, and intuitive driving experiences.

Under his leadership, Google Geo Automotive is driving the transition toward software-defined vehicles (SDVs), delivering high-definition mapping and localization data essential for the next generation of assisted and autonomous driving systems. His team partners with the world's leading automakers to redefine the in-car cockpit through advanced navigation, real-time data integration, and personalized AI-powered experiences.

Prior to joining Google in 2022, Jørgen held several executive leadership roles across the technology and location services landscape. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at HERE Technologies, where he oversaw the development of the world’s leading location platform. His extensive career also includes senior leadership positions at Philips, where he led Innovation for Personal Health Solutions, and TomTom, where he served as Executive Vice President of Engineering and Content Operations.

A veteran of the software and mobile industry, Jørgen is a recognized thought leader on the digital transformation of transportation. He is dedicated to leveraging technology to solve complex global mobility challenges and enhancing the relationship between drivers and their vehicles. Jørgen is an alumnus of Nyenrode Business Universiteit and is based in Amsterdam.
