Christian Sobottka is President and Chief Executive Officer of HARMAN, and President of HARMAN’s Automotive Division. HARMAN is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.

After joining HARMAN in 2021 as President of the Automotive division, Christian played an instrumental role in driving a transformational change within the company and the automotive industry at large. He successfully guided a shift of HARMAN’s business toward a more product- and software-centric model while advancing innovations in in-vehicle experiences and securing significant partnerships within the sector.

Previously, Christian was Chief Executive Officer at Robert Bosch Automotive Steering. He has over 30 years of international experience in the automotive industry. Prior to his responsibility as CEO of Bosch Automotive Steering, he held leadership roles across a variety of business areas like powertrain solutions, chassis technology and ADAS.

Christian holds a Dipl.-Ing in Electrical Engineering from the Technische Universität Darmstadt, and an Executive MBA from the University of Bradford.
