Dr. Matthias Traub

Dr. Matthias Traub studied at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2001 to 2007 and worked at Daimler AG during his studies, where he also wrote his diploma and doctoral thesis. After completing his studies, Matthias Traub joined the development department at BMW AG. Until 2017, he was Chief Architect & Head of the E/E Architecture Platform for all vehicles of BMW AG. From 2017 to 2019, he headed BMW's research and pre-development department for "Automotive IoT & E/E Architectures". At the end of 2019, he changed to Volkswagen AG. After one year as Vice President for "E/E Architectures & Platforms", Matthias Traub took over the position of Senior Vice President for "Architecture, Security & Technologies" at CARIAD SE in 2020. In 2022, he also became part of the Board of Directors of CYMOTIVE Technologies and was appointed to the Supervisory Board of TTtechAuto AG.

Matthias Traub has been with Vector since August 2023 and was appointed to the Management Board in October 2024. He is also involved in various voluntary roles in the field of technology development for Germany/Europe and is an advisory board member for part-time training programs for professionals at KIT.
