Peter Schiefer

Peter Schiefer has been President of the Automotive division at Infineon Technologies AG since 2016 and a member of the Supervisory Board of Infineon Technologies Dresden since 2012. He also is a member and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at SAIC Infineon Automotive Power Modules (Shanghai) Co, Ltd., SIAPM, a joint venture of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited and Infineon Technologies AG.
From 2012 to 2016, Peter Schiefer headed Operations of Infineon being responsible for production management, supply chain and procurement of the Group. Prior to this, he held several top management positions within Infineon, for example President of the Power Management & Multimarket division and Head of Operations of the Industrial & Multimarket division.
Peter Schiefer was born in 1965 in Munich, Germany. He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and joined Infineon in 1990 (Semiconductor Group of Siemens AG until 1999).
He believes the car of the future is all-electric and autonomous as well as fully connected, always online and cyber-secured. As President of the Automotive division Peter Schiefer is committed to shaping the future of mobility together with the Infineon team, customers and partners by enabling clean, safe and smart cars with products and solutions powering the decarbonization and digitalization.
