David Slump joined Marelli in January 2022, as President and Chief Executive Officer. He is a battle-tested, multi-cultural leader with a 30-year track-record of growth and turnarounds in the Automotive and Energy industries.
Prior to Marelli, David was with Harman since 2009 – most recently as President, Global Markets, responsible for the company’s business in China, India, Japan, Korea, Russia, South and Central America. In addition, he led the Software Services division globally. Before, David was EVP, Operations, responsible for Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Quality and Manufacturing across Harman. Prior to that, he turned around and grew the Harman consumer audio business. In his early years at the company, he led strategy and M&A.
Before, David held various senior leadership positions with Toshiba Corporation’s subsidiary Landis+Gyr, General Electric, ABB and Exelon Corporation’s subsidiary Commonwealth Edison. David holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Iowa State University, where he is a member of the Engineering College Industrial Advisory Council today.
