Since December 2022, Ms. Bui Kim Thuy took the lead position of Vingroup Global Strategic Partnerships and VinFast Deputy CEO. She’s in charge of empowering the position Vingroup/VinFast on the international stage, and expand and deepen relationship with Vingroup/VinFast strategic partners. She played a key role in the successful application of VinFast US to the membership of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) not long before she started spearheading Vingroup Strategic Partnerships.
Between March 2018 and November 2022, Ms. Kim Thuy was previously the Senior Country Representative of the USABC in Vietnam. She advised American companies on ASEAN/Vietnam’s policy environment and accompanied Vietnamese enterprises in integrating the value chain of global corporations. She took part in to Vietnam’s digital transformation by working with central and local authorities and contributing to the development of the Govt policy framework.
Ms. Kim Thuy spent over 10 years at the Ministry of Industry and Trade as lead negotiator in Vietnam’s negotiations on Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) focusing on rules of origin, tariff and market access. She participated in shaping Vietnam’s foreign trade policies and being member of the Drafting Team of many legal documents.
Ms. Kim Thuy was the only candidate from Vietnam to receive the full scholarship for the Master in Public Management between 2013 and 2014 from National University of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Harvard Kennedy School of the Harvard University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics of Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
